After 2 played minutes Impegem got a freekick which was hit by Dolf Van Hermenghem. A collision led to RSC Bertem getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Gert Nelis hit a great ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Joel Huveneers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RSC Bertem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Huveneers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dries Justus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luc Roscams in the 16th minute of play. Herald Baecke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Dries Justus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Lennart Franckx managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when RSC Bertem's Joel Huveneers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jonas Mallecots sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 25thth minute of the game Luc Roscams who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RSC Bertem's Dries Justus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dries Justus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dolf Van Hermenghem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Huveneers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Lennart Franckx made a huge save. Matthieu Vincx kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Gert Nelis, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 39 minutes into the game, RSC Bertem's Jonas Mallecots nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lennart Franckx made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 46th minute, Herald Baecke ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dries Justus was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

After having played for 55 minutes, Joel Huveneers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RSC Bertem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Huveneers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raf Mattheijs's late challenge caught a RSC Bertem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raf Mattheijs helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd match minute, Impegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthieu Vincx to maneuver through the defense. If Jonas Mallecots had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Huveneers struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Lennart Franckx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RSC Bertem. If Herald Baecke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luc Roscams got free with Dries Justus in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Herald Baecke blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dries Justus having to make a save. Joel Huveneers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lennart Franckx read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Lennart Franckx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Huveneers in the 81st minute of play. RSC Bertem's Ludwig Helssen got his second yellow card of the match in the 86th minute. The referee ordered Ludwig Helssen off the ground. Ludwig Helssen kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Impegem's Herald Baecke sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dries Justus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
