Kleit's Gery De Spiegeleire got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Impegem booed when Kleit was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hendrik-Jan Verheyden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pierrot Bracke, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Kleit's Robbrecht Boumans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herald Baecke in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Kleit booed when Impegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luc Roscams didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Kleit's Robbrecht Boumans got control of the ball when Luc Roscams tried to sneak it across the goal line. Robbrecht Boumans made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Luc Roscams sent off a good shot on target. After 22 played minutes Kleit got a freekick which was hit by Norbert Paelinck. After having played for 23 minutes, Luc Roscams managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Impegem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luc Roscams was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Kleit getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Hendrik-Jan Verheyden hit a great ball. Robbrecht Boumans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herald Baecke, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Robbrecht Boumans was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Herald Baecke showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. Rene Serneels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Kleit getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Luckas Rokeloos hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

51 minutes into the match, Gery De Spiegeleire notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Impegem's Lennart Franckx. Lennart Franckx was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gery De Spiegeleire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Lennart Franckx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herald Baecke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Gery De Spiegeleire could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Lennart Franckx however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luc Roscams in the 63rd minute of play forced Kleit's goalkeeper Robbrecht Boumans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kleit's Gery De Spiegeleire got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robbrecht Boumans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luc Roscams's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Gery De Spiegeleire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luc Roscams received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Robbrecht Boumans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robbrecht Boumans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luc Roscams in the 89th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Kleit's goal looked a bit too open when Luc Roscams came free, but Robbrecht Boumans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Gery De Spiegeleire made a precise shot to the right of Lennart Franckx. Impegem's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kleit eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
