Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bass Blocks kicked off to start the match. Alex Rauvoets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ief Van Lier having to interfere. In the 7th match minute, Gages was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Haesevoets to maneuver through the defense. If Reinaert Stevens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ief Van Lier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Van Hoovelt in the 15th minute of the match. Birger van Bedts might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ief Van Lier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Birger van Bedts ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 22nd minute, Aaron Van Hoovelt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bass Blocks who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Anthonio Mesmaekers when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ief Van Lier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Birger van Bedts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grimbergen's Bass Blocks got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th match minute, Gages was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias-Alexander Matthys to maneuver through the defense. Grimbergen's Bass Blocks got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Birger van Bedts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ief Van Lier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ief Van Lier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Van Hoovelt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bass Blocks during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Grimbergen's Diederik Struijf got a free kick in the 56th minute. Gages's Christopher Van Meerbeec shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 57th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ief Van Lier but with some difficulty. If Birger van Bedts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Birger van Bedts struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Ief Van Lier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gages. Ief Van Lier was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Birger van Bedts showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 68 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Grimbergen's zone, Birger van Bedts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ief Van Lier came out of the goal and Birger van Bedts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bass Blocks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Grimbergen's Ief Van Lier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Grimbergen from getting a goal against them. In the 77thth minute of the game Birger van Bedts who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grimbergen's Ief Van Lier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reinaert Stevens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthonio Mesmaekers having to interfere. Grimbergen's Henri-Xavier Uijtterhoeven couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gages. Ief Van Lier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birger van Bedts in the 94th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gages's zone, Reinaert Stevens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthonio Mesmaekers came out of the goal and Reinaert Stevens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
