Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Diedrik Pastijns started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bass Blocks in the 9th minute of play forced Haverzee's goalkeeper Steffen Roockeloes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 minutes, Jan-Joost Van Clijnebreugel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haverzee and the Grimbergen players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Haverzee's Jan-Joost Van Clijnebreugel got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 16th minute, Bruno De Baere got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 18 minutes of play, Grimbergen's Bass Blocks made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steffen Roockeloes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Steffen Roockeloes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bass Blocks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the game, Grimbergen's Reinaert Stevens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Steffen Roockeloes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Diedrik Pastijns received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ief Van Lier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grimbergen's Reinaert Stevens got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ief Van Lier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno De Baere in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diedrik Pastijns in the 41st minute of play forced Grimbergen's goalkeeper Ief Van Lier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diedrik Pastijns might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ief Van Lier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diedrik Pastijns ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 46th minute, Diedrik Pastijns got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th minute, Bruno De Baere got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bass Blocks was the one to do the kick off. Grimbergen's Ief Van Lier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno De Baere in the 52nd minute of play. When Bass Blocks fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grimbergen's protests and gave Bass Blocks a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st minute, Bass Blocks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ief Van Lier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruno De Baere's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. After 67 played minutes Grimbergen got a freekick which was hit by Renaut Van der Borght. Reinaert Stevens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Steffen Roockeloes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ief Van Lier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno De Baere in the 76th minute of play. In the 86th match minute, Grimbergen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aime Philippaerts to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the match, Grimbergen's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno De Baere came free, but Ief Van Lier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
