Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Bass Blocks made the kick off and thus started the match. 4 minutes into the match, KVSK Sautin's goal looked a bit too open when Bass Blocks came free, but Goffrey Van Der Meeren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ief Van Lier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederick Claeys in the 7th minute of play. With splendid footwork Bass Blocks arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 8th minute. Ief Van Lier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Taverniers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ief Van Lier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mattias Taverniers's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Grimbergen's zone, Frederick Claeys stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ief Van Lier came out of the goal and Frederick Claeys tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Goffrey Van Der Meeren had great luck who in the 31stth minute grab hold of the ball when Bass Blocks from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Luuk Ombelets kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Bass Blocks was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 34th minute. Grimbergen's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Reinaert Stevens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Goffrey Van Der Meeren made a huge save. Mattias Taverniers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ief Van Lier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frederick Claeys made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Frederick Claeys managed to get in a good position for a shot. KVSK Sautin's supporters rose to their feet, but Frederick Claeys was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ief Van Lier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of KVSK Sautin booed when Grimbergen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Van Calster didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joost De Smet was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 62nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ief Van Lier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederick Claeys, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Goffrey Van Der Meeren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bass Blocks in the 66th minute of play. Mattias Taverniers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frederick Claeys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ief Van Lier having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Frederick Claeys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ief Van Lier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Grimbergen's Diederik Struijf got a free kick in the 85th minute. Mattias Taverniers was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 86th minute. KVSK Sautin's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. From a short distance, KVSK Sautin's Frederick Claeys, in the 89th minute, tried to place the ball behind Ief Van Lier, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Grimbergen fans cheered their team off the field, for while KVSK Sautin had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
