After 78 played minutes, Ekeren's William Stuckers shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Henrik Samyn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ekeren reached it. Harald Colebrants who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Denis Manaers when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Harald Colebrants had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the last second Denis Manaers throw himself and got hold of the ball when Bill Vervoort in the 96thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Wilderen had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
