Johnny De Mayer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobus Ketelers in the 10th minute of the match. Christoff Van Turnhout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benne Servranckx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thys Verheyden having to interfere. In the 21st minute Christoff Van Turnhout suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Lou Tobbackers charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lou Tobbackers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 21 minutes into the game, one of Aveschoot:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 24th minute there was a penalty for Samree. Steve Verheyden stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Thys Verheyden. 1-0. A collision led to Samree getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Christof Tailleur hit a great ball. Jacob Beekman hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Johnny De Mayer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobus Ketelers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remie Thielemans was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 43rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stein Van Beylen was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Didier Landewijck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Jacobus Ketelers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aveschoot's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacobus Ketelers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnny De Mayer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aveschoot's Thys Verheyden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benne Servranckx in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Samree booed when Aveschoot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathieux Jaddon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Steve Verheyden in the 67th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Thys Verheyden's left hand side. Arnauld Coryn's late challenge caught a Aveschoot's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnauld Coryn helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Samree's Arnauld Coryn got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 95 minutes of play, Samree's Benne Servranckx made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thys Verheyden was left in no man's land by his defense there! Samree's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
