With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nils Maeijnaerts in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christoph Van Boxstael saved SK Landegem from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Nils Maeijnaerts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christoph Van Boxstael was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Jan-Joost Roelands lost his temper 14 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of SK Landegem:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Werken:s goal. In the 16th minute there was a penalty for Werken. Kristof Olbrechts stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Christoph Van Boxstael. 0-1. Kristof Olbrechts, 21 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. George Celis kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Nils Maeijnaerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolaas Lanen spun around in front of the goal 26 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of SK Landegem's goal. Christoph Van Boxstael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolaas Lanen in the 29th minute of play. After having played for 30 minutes, Nils Maeijnaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Werken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils Maeijnaerts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolaas Lanen in the 31st minute of play forced SK Landegem's goalkeeper Christoph Van Boxstael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Qwinten Van Kamp scored 1-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waud De Backer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Werken fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Werken's Nicolaas Lanen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswald Pelleman in the 45th minute of play forced SK Landegem's goalkeeper Christoph Van Boxstael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicolaas Lanen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Nicolaas Lanen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 53rdth minute of the game Nicolaas Lanen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SK Landegem's Christoph Van Boxstael was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, SK Landegem's Christoph Van Boxstael got control of the ball when Oswald Pelleman tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Nils Maeijnaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicolaas Lanen in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christoph Van Boxstael prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nils Maeijnaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Christoph Van Boxstael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, SK Landegem's Christoph Van Boxstael got control of the ball when Nils Maeijnaerts tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Nicolaas Lanen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christoph Van Boxstael made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nils Maeijnaerts in the 91st minute. Werken's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
