Nicolaas De Smedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Van Landschoot having to interfere. Eric Van Geertruyen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Swings having to interfere. Louis-Philippe Van Hautvin kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Giovanni Van Landschoot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolaas De Smedt in the 16th minute. George Swings was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 33 minutes into the game, Etienne Biesen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Giovanni Van Landschoot. Etienne Biesen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Dany Borginions's late challenge caught a Heurne 's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dany Borginions helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to KV Varsenare getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Dany Borginions hit a great ball. Giovanni Van Landschoot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Etienne Biesen, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Nicolaas De Smedt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Giovanni Van Landschoot firmly grabbed it by the left post.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorre Verhofstadt to strike the kick off in the second half. Giovanni Van Landschoot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Etienne Biesen in the 71st minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Kenney Verbeke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KV Varsenare's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Heurne the free kick. KV Varsenare's Giovanni Van Landschoot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolaas De Smedt in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to Heurne getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Dan Van Lancker hit a great ball. Joerie Jans, 94 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
