With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mattijs Van Meirhaeghe in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Loos saved Virton from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Jorge Geerts might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over William Panhuyse. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaetan De Geest hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind KV Ourthe's goalkeeper William Panhuyse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaetan De Geest during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Virton's Tobias Rijniers suffered a concussion in the 67th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Eric Olemans charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eric Olemans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Virton booed when KV Ourthe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Olemans didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute of the match Mateo Vanooteghem shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but William Panhuyse showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. William Panhuyse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominik De Koster in the 72nd minute of play. Hubert Van Hinnendael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Panhuyse having to interfere. In the 74th match minute, KV Ourthe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Olemans to maneuver through the defense. After 81 minutes of play, KV Ourthe's Mattijs Van Meirhaeghe made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abel Loos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eric Olemans was shown his second yellow card after 85 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Virton booed when KV Ourthe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Olemans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mattijs Van Meirhaeghe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Abel Loos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. William Panhuyse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hubert Van Hinnendael in the 91st minute of play. Hubert Van Hinnendael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yelle Van Goolen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Virton supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching KV Ourthe's performance. The match ended with a win for KV Ourthe.
