If Dennis Van den Berch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Virton booed when Bellegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kris Van Den Linden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matthy Langhmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateo Vanooteghem in the 10th minute of the match. Virton's Abel Loos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Van den Berch in the 12th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Tobias Rijniers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 18 minutes Virton's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gunter Goos who took care of the corner kick. In the 21st minute Harrie Langendonckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Loos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hubert Van Hinnendael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 23 minutes, Thys Braeckman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bellegem and the Virton players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Virton's zone, Dennis Van den Berch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Loos came out of the goal and Dennis Van den Berch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the game, Dennis Van den Berch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bellegem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Virton the free kick. A collision led to Bellegem getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Dennis Van den Berch hit a great ball. During the 31st minute of the match Thys Braeckman completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Thys Braeckman a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 32nd minute, Thys Braeckman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Virton's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Van den Berch came free, but Abel Loos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virton's Abel Loos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Van den Berch in the 39th minute of play. Abel Loos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dennis Van den Berch's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bellegem's zone, Hubert Van Hinnendael stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matthy Langhmans came out of the goal and Hubert Van Hinnendael tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Hubert Van Hinnendael recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dennis Van den Berch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Abel Loos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Harrie Langendonckx came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Bellegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harrie Langendonckx couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Virton's Abel Loos got control of the ball when Dennis Van den Berch tried to sneak it across the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Bellegem's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Geerts came free, but Matthy Langhmans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dennis Van den Berch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Abel Loos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dennis Van den Berch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matthy Langhmans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Geerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The supporters of Bellegem booed when Virton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julien Godts didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Abel Loos managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Bellegem's Dennis Van den Berch fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Michael Gielens charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michael Gielens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bellegem! Jorge Geerts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matthy Langhmans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Matthy Langhmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Geerts in the 92nd minute of play. When Dominik De Koster fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Virton's protests and gave Dominik De Koster a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Virton getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Dominik De Koster hit a great ball. When Dennis Van den Berch came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Bellegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dennis Van den Berch couldn't finish the play. In the 98th minute, Dominik De Koster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virton succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Bellegem had controlled the match.
