Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Patrick Mampaerts got the match started through his kick off. Patrick Mampaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Gramet having to interfere. Patrick Mampaerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 played minutes Petegem-aan-de-Leie got a freekick which was hit by Dante Isebergh. Jorge Rijmenans charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Rijmenans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Petegem-aan-de-Leie getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jorge Rijmenans hit a great ball. Arne Gramet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Voets in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Ohey was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartjan Wijnants to maneuver through the defense. Jimmy Voets blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arne Gramet having to make a save. When Ohey's Patrick Mampaerts in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Petegem-aan-de-Leie's goalie prevented a goal. Petegem-aan-de-Leie's Arne Gramet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Mampaerts in the 37th minute of play. If Emmanuel De Bruijn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emmanuel De Bruijn made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Petegem-aan-de-Leie's zone, Patrick Mampaerts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arne Gramet came out of the goal and Patrick Mampaerts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ohey's Jimmy Voets got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Mampaerts in the 62nd minute of play forced Petegem-aan-de-Leie's goalkeeper Arne Gramet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petegem-aan-de-Leie's Emmanuel De Bruijn got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arne Gramet made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Jimmy Voets sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Petegem-aan-de-Leie defense, Jimmy Voets kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arne Gramet. The Petegem-aan-de-Leie fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arne Gramet should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute Emmanuel De Bruijn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurence Verhasselt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Petegem-aan-de-Leie supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ohey's performance. The match ended with a win for Ohey.
