After a rather tough play, KV Sterhoek's Mathieu-Maxim Blommaert got a free kick in the 28th minute. Giles Vanden Broucke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steve Valckx in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Roni De Keijser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in KV Sterhoek's zone, Staf Ombelets stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Huybreghts came out of the goal and Staf Ombelets tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arend Elzen in the 42nd minute of play forced KV Sterhoek's goalkeeper Casper Huybreghts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arend Elzen did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Casper Huybreghts 98 minutes into the match. KV Sterhoek walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
