The crowd rose to their feet as Jilian Schols kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Robbin Beets. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. When KV Sterhoek's Steve Valckx in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee ignored KVSK Moorsel's protests and gave Patrick Klopterop a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th minute, KV Sterhoek's Jilian Schols ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Robbin Beets. Robbin Beets yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Casper Huybreghts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Klopterop in the 37th minute of the match. Casper Huybreghts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Klopterop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jilian Schols might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robbin Beets. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jilian Schols ran back to his position shaking his head. If Staf De Malier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Patrick Klopterop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th match minute, KV Sterhoek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stephan Gallot to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Steve Valckx made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of KV Sterhoek booed when KVSK Moorsel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Cuppens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steve Valckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Robbin Beets tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, KV Sterhoek's Casper Huybreghts got control of the ball when Patrick Klopterop tried to sneak it across the goal line. KVSK Moorsel's Patrick Klopterop got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 97th minute, Artur Cuppens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jilian Schols had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. KV Sterhoek were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of KVSK Moorsel for a fine match.
