Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Matias Ballette started the match with the kick off. FC Wespelaar's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Matias Ballette 4 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Jochen Goffyn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Steve Goffyn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, FC Wespelaar's Emmanuel Van Goitsenhoven sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexander Wollans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Steve Goffyn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Ballette, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Alexander Wollans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakob Vercruysse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jochen Goffyn in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Steve Goffyn, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jochen Goffyn who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Steve Goffyn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 24 played minutes Matias Ballette rounded FC Wespelaar's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. After 27 minutes, Frank Van den Haute mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Houffalize and the FC Wespelaar players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Houffalize's Frank Van den Haute got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute Emmanuel Van Goitsenhoven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Wollans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Houffalize booed when FC Wespelaar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo De Vaddere didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Emmanuel Van Goitsenhoven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Houffalize booed when FC Wespelaar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuel Van Goitsenhoven didn't get a good kick on the ball.
When FC Wespelaar's Jakob Vercruysse in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Houffalize's goalie prevented a goal. Jochen Goffyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Goffyn having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Bertan Van Castel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute of the match Emile Coussement shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Steve Goffyn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 62ndth minute of the game Matias Ballette who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Wespelaar's Steve Goffyn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Jean-Louis De Malier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Houffalize's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Wespelaar the free kick. A collision led to Houffalize getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jean-Louis De Malier hit a great ball. After having played for 76 minutes, Matias Ballette managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Houffalize's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matias Ballette was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jochen Goffyn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th match minute, FC Wespelaar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Swings to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Matias Ballette made a precise shot to the right of Steve Goffyn. FC Wespelaar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 88 minutes into the game, Houffalize's Matias Ballette nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Steve Goffyn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Frank Van den Haute fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Goffyn having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Wespelaar players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Houffalize.
