The audience was convinced that Sander Vercauteren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ief Decloedt was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sander Vercauteren in the 23rd minute of play forced Zelda Fc's goalkeeper Ief Decloedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sander Vercauteren came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the FC Altembroek fans jumped to their feet. In the 35th minute, one of FC Altembroek:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Altembroek. Brent-Jan Robijns could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Gilian Schols made a huge save. Ief Decloedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sander Vercauteren in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sander Vercauteren to strike the kick off in the second half. Brent-Jan Robijns fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilian Schols having to interfere. When Zelda Fc's Matias De Meyer in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Altembroek's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Zelda Fc's zone, Sander Vercauteren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ief Decloedt came out of the goal and Sander Vercauteren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brent-Jan Robijns received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Gilian Schols tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Altembroek's Jeffrey Van Beneden got a free kick in the 68th minute. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Brent-Jan Robijns sped through FC Altembroek's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gilian Schols. If Matias De Meyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matias De Meyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gilian Schols tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, FC Altembroek's Sander Vercauteren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ief Decloedt. Ief Decloedt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. 88 minutes into the match, Zelda Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Sander Vercauteren came free, but Ief Decloedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zelda Fc's Brent-Jan Robijns got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Zelda Fc's goalkeeper Ief Decloedt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tom De Werdt.
