In the 2nd minute Michel Verheijd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex de Pelsmaker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex de Pelsmaker came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by KV Wanzele's Michel Verheijd. But to his dismay, Michel Verheijd quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Oswald Van Caels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oswald Van Caels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex de Pelsmaker having to interfere. If Alexandre Coosemans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kenney Cornelis succeeded in the game's 24th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Alexandre Coosemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alex de Pelsmaker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Verheijd in the 29th minute of the match. Oswald Van Caels scored 1-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alex de Pelsmaker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kenney Cornelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Bob Boegaert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Oswald Van Caels got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oswald Van Caels to make the kick off. Michel Verheijd received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alex de Pelsmaker came out and tried to block the shot, but Michel Verheijd slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 53rd minute. Paul Rix kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 67th match minute, KAA Petersheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Coosemans to maneuver through the defense. Kenney Cornelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 73 minutes into the match, KV Wanzele's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Coosemans came free, but Bob Boegaert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bob Boegaert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenney Cornelis in the 74th minute of the match. Alexandre Coosemans might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bob Boegaert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandre Coosemans ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Kenney Cornelis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bob Boegaert was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. KAA Petersheim's Alex de Pelsmaker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oswald Van Caels in the 79th minute of play. Kenney Cornelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Oswald Van Caels fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alex de Pelsmaker, passed just outside the right post. Michel Verheijd's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Alex de Pelsmaker skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alex de Pelsmaker was a little too slow when Oswald Van Caels got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 2-4. KV Wanzele's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
