Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Carlos Keldermans started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Carlos Keldermans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ive Segers having to interfere. If Carlos Keldermans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gert-Jan Kindt during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 17 minutes of play, Gottignies's Philippe-Arnaud Goebelens made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benny Wiggers was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 22 minutes, Ruud Van Den Eijnde managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Rudies's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruud Van Den Eijnde was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gottignies's Richard Poets got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the game, Carlos Keldermans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. De Rudies's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gottignies the free kick. In the 28th minute, Carlos Keldermans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benny Wiggers came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Gottignies's Richard Poets. But to his dismay, Richard Poets quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Mark Meulemans's late challenge caught a Gottignies's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mark Meulemans helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd minute, Mark Meulemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Gottignies's Danny Sempels tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 36 minutes, Remy Bekaert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The wind increased when Philippe-Arnaud Goebelens made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, De Rudies's Benny Wiggers got control of the ball when Richard Poets tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ive Segers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remy Bekaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. With an all-out effort, Gottignies's Benny Wiggers threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Philippe-Arnaud Goebelens, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ive Segers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remy Bekaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remy Bekaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remy Bekaert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ive Segers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. De Rudies's Ruud Van Den Eijnde got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Gottignies getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Binjamin De Roest hit a great ball. Ruud Van Den Eijnde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ruud Van Den Eijnde kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 84th match minute, Gottignies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philippe-Arnaud Goebelens to maneuver through the defense. Richard Poets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Benny Wiggers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
