Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Philippe-Arnaud Goebelens took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gottignies's Ive Segers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jason Soetemans in the 3rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Heppignies's zone, Richard Poets stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dieter Rousseau came out of the goal and Richard Poets tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Philippe-Arnaud Goebelens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of KFC Heppignies booed when Gottignies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Poets didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jason Soetemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 played minutes Gottignies got a freekick which was hit by Leo De Leger. Gerrit Kerkhofs missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 14 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Ive Segers right hand side. Dieter Rousseau came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Gottignies's Binjamin De Roest. But to his dismay, Binjamin De Roest quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Dieter Rousseau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Poets in the 25th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Richard Poets got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 32 minutes, Richard Poets managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gottignies's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richard Poets was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, KFC Heppignies's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Poets came free, but Dieter Rousseau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Gottignies's goal looked a bit too open when Maxim Sloeve came free, but Ive Segers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roger Ketelers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Roger Ketelers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dieter Rousseau was a little too slow when Richard Poets got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roger Ketelers made a kick off. If Maxim Sloeve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Gottignies's zone, Roger Ketelers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ive Segers came out of the goal and Roger Ketelers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Richard Poets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dieter Rousseau having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Poets in the 64th minute of play forced KFC Heppignies's goalkeeper Dieter Rousseau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Poets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, KFC Heppignies's goal looked a bit too open when Gert-Jan Kindt came free, but Dieter Rousseau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Dillemans might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dieter Rousseau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Dillemans ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to KFC Heppignies getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Sam Van de Put hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Danny Sempels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Fabien Focquier managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Heppignies's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabien Focquier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ive Segers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gottignies's Ive Segers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Gottignies from getting a goal against them. Roger Ketelers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 88 minutes, Maxim Sloeve managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Heppignies's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maxim Sloeve was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ive Segers was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roger Ketelers showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 90 minute of play. KFC Heppignies's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
