Felix Van Der Straeten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabrice Temmerman's late challenge caught a VC Zandvoorde's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabrice Temmerman helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of VC Zandvoorde booed when Rhisnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrice Temmerman didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to VC Zandvoorde getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Geert Reniers hit a great ball. In the 13th minute of the match Etienne De Groote sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Laurens Roscams skillfully saved the ball. When Gaetan Acke came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Rhisnes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaetan Acke couldn't finish the play. 23 minutes into the match, VC Zandvoorde's goal looked a bit too open when Gaetan Acke came free, but Laurens Roscams reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gert-Jan Winnepenninck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matt Van Kestbeek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Pieter Van den Dries having to interfere. VC Zandvoorde's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gaetan Acke 31 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. When Matt Van Kestbeek came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the VC Zandvoorde fans jumped to their feet. The referee ignored VC Zandvoorde's protests and gave Herbert Vissenaeckens a yellow card for diving instead. Fabrice Temmerman was shown his second yellow card after 39 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Jan-Pieter Van den Dries tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute Matt Van Kestbeek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Pieter Van den Dries saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chris-George Iven during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes Rhisnes got a freekick which was hit by Chris-George Iven. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomas Dauwe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Matt Van Kestbeek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Pieter Van den Dries having to interfere. If Matt Van Kestbeek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Rhisnes defense, Gert-Jan Winnepenninck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan-Pieter Van den Dries. The Rhisnes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan-Pieter Van den Dries should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Matt Van Kestbeek took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Jan-Pieter Van den Dries to make any attempt to save it. When Matt Van Kestbeek came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the VC Zandvoorde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matt Van Kestbeek couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matt Van Kestbeek in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan-Pieter Van den Dries prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in VC Zandvoorde's zone, Thomas Dauwe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laurens Roscams came out of the goal and Thomas Dauwe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matt Van Kestbeek in the 91st minute of play forced Rhisnes's goalkeeper Jan-Pieter Van den Dries to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Rhisnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris-George Iven to maneuver through the defense. VC Zandvoorde's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
