Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ivan Reijniers started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Wegnez's Laurence Mons sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Niel Herremans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Laurence Mons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the match, Ardooie's goal looked a bit too open when Laurence Mons came free, but Niel Herremans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ardooie's zone, Laurence Mons stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niel Herremans came out of the goal and Laurence Mons tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Perry Van Leempoel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Gregory Braeckman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 19 minutes, Perry Van Leempoel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ardooie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perry Van Leempoel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute, Ivan Reijniers fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Perry Van Leempoel hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Ardooie's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Van Meerbek came free, but Niel Herremans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute of the match Wegnez got a corner. Ardooie's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gerrit Van Meerbeek ran over to the corner to take the kick. Wegnez's Gerrit Van Meerbeek was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Niel Herremans in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Perry Van Leempoel's late challenge caught a Wegnez's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Perry Van Leempoel helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ardooie getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Perry Van Leempoel hit a great ball. If Alexander Van Meerbek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laurence Mons to make the kick off. Alexander Van Meerbek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexander Van Meerbek struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Niel Herremans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wegnez. In the 59th minute, Floris Neesens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laurence Mons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Alexander Van Meerbek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Wegnez's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Reijniers came free, but Gregory Braeckman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregory Braeckman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Reijniers in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Alexander Van Meerbek recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Niel Herremans. Alexander Van Meerbek showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. In the 73rd minute of the match Gerrit Van Meerbeek shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Niel Herremans showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alexander Van Meerbek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Niel Herremans made a huge save. In the 81st minute, Floris Neesens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ardooie's Niel Herremans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurence Mons in the 83rd minute of play. If Alexander Van Meerbek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregory Braeckman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Reijniers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ardooie's Perry Van Leempoel got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perry Van Leempoel in the 96th minute of play forced Wegnez's goalkeeper Gregory Braeckman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Wegnez had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
