Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pierre Grammet started the match with the kick off. A collision led to FC meert getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Gilbert Van Hautvin hit a great ball. When Cederik Le Page came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the FC meert fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cederik Le Page couldn't finish the play. Max Goovaerts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cederik Le Page took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abraham Rompen. Abraham Rompen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Cederik Le Page had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richey Suteweij sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FC meert booed when Papignies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenn Knockaert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Max Goovaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abraham Rompen having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Max Goovaerts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cederik Le Page struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Abraham Rompen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC meert. The FC meert fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when FC meert's Richey Suteweij looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luckas Van Lier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre Gebuers in the 32nd minute of play. A collision led to FC meert getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Max Goovaerts hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Papignies's goal looked a bit too open when Richey Suteweij came free, but Abraham Rompen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Andrew Viskens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joseph De Meyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Abraham Rompen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Papignies's Abraham Rompen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph De Meyer in the 45th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Abraham Rompen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Richey Suteweij received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abraham Rompen came out and tried to block the shot, but Richey Suteweij slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Richey Suteweij made the kick off in the second half. Richey Suteweij received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Abraham Rompen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When FC meert's Cederik Le Page in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Papignies's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Papignies getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Lennert Meulemans hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Richey Suteweij got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abraham Rompen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cederik Le Page in the 59th minute of play. When the match had been going on for 61 minutes Robert Smits shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Luckas Van Lier when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. A hard shot 65 in the game by Pierre Grammet from a close distance when the talented Luckas Van Lier managed to make a qualified save. FC meert's players were relieved. Richey Suteweij fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abraham Rompen having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cederik Le Page in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abraham Rompen saved Papignies from getting behind. In the 77th minute Cederik Le Page shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abraham Rompen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Pierre Gebuers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joseph De Meyer charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joseph De Meyer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 90th minute, when Papignies's Lennert Meulemans after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Luckas Van Lier in FC meert's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Papignies's goalkeeper Abraham Rompen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 97th minute, Richey Suteweij got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 99th minute Cederik Le Page shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abraham Rompen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that FC meert were the better team. FC meert's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
