When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Kevin Herinckx sped through KFC Bossiere's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rene de Neuyter. Jerom Wiechgers's late challenge caught a SC Slotendries's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerom Wiechgers helped the player get up and apologised. Rene de Neuyter had in the 11thth minute some difficulties stopping Nicky Van Nel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 13 minutes of play, KFC Bossiere's Dimitry Breugelmans made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bram Van Achter was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Richey Waterloos managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Bossiere's supporters rose to their feet, but Richey Waterloos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bram Van Achter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bram Van Achter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richey Waterloos's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Christian Hemberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bram Van Achter. SC Slotendries's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. KFC Bossiere's Rene de Neuyter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save KFC Bossiere from getting a goal against them. After 34 played minutes KFC Bossiere got a freekick which was hit by Dimitry Breugelmans. In the 41st minute, Kristiaan Wynant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Richey Waterloos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bram Van Achter having to interfere. Bram Van Achter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristiaan Wynant in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Rene de Neuyter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Herinckx, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Bram Van Achter made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Richey Waterloos sent off a good shot on target. Richey Waterloos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 played minutes SC Slotendries got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Van Geestel. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Rene de Neuyter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Herinckx in the 77th minute of the match. The supporters of KFC Bossiere booed when SC Slotendries was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Van Geestel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, SC Slotendries's goalkeeper Bram Van Achter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richey Waterloos. After having played for 90 minutes, Antonio Lenoir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Slotendries's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Lenoir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Slotendries fans cheered their team off the field, for while KFC Bossiere had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
