Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Peter-Jan Deflandre started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Tongrenelle booed when 2860 Linksback was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurice Vinckx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tijs Langendonck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter-Jan Deflandre, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tongrenelle's zone, Peter-Jan Deflandre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tijs Langendonck came out of the goal and Peter-Jan Deflandre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tom Van Bouschot was a little too slow when Lou Imberechts got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 21 played minutes 2860 Linksback got a freekick which was hit by Maarten De Hooge. After 21 played minutes, Tongrenelle's Yanis Verhasselt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tom Van Bouschot came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tongrenelle reached it. Gerard Dauwen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joerie Van Langhendoncx kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Yanis Verhasselt, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andreas Leenders in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tom Van Bouschot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 38 played minutes Tongrenelle got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Leenders. Peter-Jan Deflandre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 50th match minute, Tongrenelle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rik Fondria to maneuver through the defense. After 52 minutes Tongrenelle's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maurice Vinckx who took care of the corner kick. The corner led 2860 Linksback's Maurice Vinckx to fire away a dangerous shot which Tijs Langendonck despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When Tongrenelle's Loid Verhelst in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye 2860 Linksback's goalie prevented a goal. Loid Verhelst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Van Bouschot having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lou Imberechts in the 65th minute of play forced 2860 Linksback's goalkeeper Tom Van Bouschot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter-Jan Deflandre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Loid Verhelst took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tom Van Bouschot. Tom Van Bouschot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Lou Imberechts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter-Jan Deflandre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tijs Langendonck having to interfere. Peter-Jan Deflandre was extremely unlucky when he, in the 87th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The crowd rose to their feet as Peter-Jan Deflandre kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tijs Langendonck. That made the score 2-1 in the 90 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Loid Verhelst during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 98th minute, Loid Verhelst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tom Van Bouschot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loid Verhelst in the 100th minute of the match. Tom Van Bouschot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lou Imberechts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tongrenelle were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of 2860 Linksback for a fine match.
