In the 9th match minute, AFC Neerhespen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ken Struijf to maneuver through the defense. Piet Dheedene made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Krabbe in the 15th minute of play. Sven den Pelsmaeker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ken Struijf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KV Ertvelde's Dan Klaes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 27th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ken Struijf hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. When Dan Klaes came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the KV Ertvelde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Klaes couldn't finish the play. AFC Neerhespen's Piet Dheedene proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save AFC Neerhespen from getting a goal against them. Sven den Pelsmaeker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilian Ronsman in the 39th minute of the match. Dan Klaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Piet Dheedene made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matteo Lauwers in the 42nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Dan Klaes managed to get in a good position for a shot. KV Ertvelde's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Klaes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Piet Dheedene breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Dan Klaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guilian Ronsman made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Fred Meijers reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sven den Pelsmaeker. The goal made the score 1-1. Guilian Ronsman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Klaes in the 59th minute of play forced AFC Neerhespen's goalkeeper Piet Dheedene to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Piet Dheedene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Klaes in the 73rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, AFC Neerhespen's Fred Meijers got a free kick in the 79th minute. Pierre-Alexandre Degryse kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Klaes in the 82nd minute of play forced AFC Neerhespen's goalkeeper Piet Dheedene to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Matteo Lauwers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, KV Ertvelde's goal looked a bit too open when Guilian Ronsman came free, but Sven den Pelsmaeker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind KV Ertvelde's goalkeeper Sven den Pelsmaeker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to AFC Neerhespen getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Leon Gendre hit a great ball. Dan Klaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piet Dheedene having to interfere. The AFC Neerhespen players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented KV Ertvelde from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
