Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bjorn De Vlaeminck made the kick off which started today's match. With a little luck, KFC Wemmel's Richy Van der Roost got control of the ball when Ken Struijf tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to AFC Neerhespen getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Leon Gendre hit a great ball. In the 6th minute, Bjorn De Vlaeminck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KFC Wemmel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Bjorn De Vlaeminck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Guilian Ronsman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Yannis Maerschalck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Piet Dheedene. AFC Neerhespen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yannis Maerschalck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Ken Struijf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, AFC Neerhespen's goal looked a bit too open when Yannis Maerschalck came free, but Piet Dheedene reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guilian Ronsman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richy Van der Roost having to interfere. In the 34th minute Bjorn De Vlaeminck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piet Dheedene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Neerhespen's zone, Yannis Maerschalck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Piet Dheedene came out of the goal and Yannis Maerschalck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Bjorn De Vlaeminck came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the KFC Wemmel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bjorn De Vlaeminck couldn't finish the play. Piet Dheedene took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yannis Maerschalck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Richy Van der Roost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guilian Ronsman, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. AFC Neerhespen's Joost Van Meerbeek shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Richy Van der Roost but with some difficulty. The AFC Neerhespen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KFC Wemmel were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guilian Ronsman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, AFC Neerhespen's Piet Dheedene got control of the ball when Yannis Maerschalck tried to sneak it across the goal line. Piet Dheedene made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bjorn De Vlaeminck in the 53rd minute of play. Ken Struijf's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richy Van der Roost read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Will Bautmans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 66 played minutes AFC Neerhespen got a freekick which was hit by Pierre-Alexandre Degryse. Yannis Maerschalck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bjorn De Vlaeminck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piet Dheedene having to interfere. Guilian Ronsman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richy Van der Roost read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Yannis Maerschalck's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Piet Dheedene firmly grabbed it by the left post. Richy Van der Roost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilian Ronsman in the 87th minute of the match. Ken Struijf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Piet Dheedene made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yannis Maerschalck in the 90th minute. Piet Dheedene was a little too slow when Bjorn De Vlaeminck got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 0-4. After a rather tough play, KFC Wemmel's Pierrot Iwens got a free kick in the 96th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched KFC Wemmel eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
