Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bjorn De Vlaeminck got the match started through his kick off. Sven den Pelsmaeker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yannis Maerschalck in the 5th minute. Bjorn De Vlaeminck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven den Pelsmaeker having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Dan Klaes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Wemmel's zone, Dan Klaes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richy Van der Roost came out of the goal and Dan Klaes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dan Klaes might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richy Van der Roost. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dan Klaes ran back to his position shaking his head. Yannis Maerschalck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Dan Klaes put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Richy Van der Roost. If Dan Klaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joe Theunis during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joe Theunis hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Cesar Krabbe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Richy Van der Roost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of KFC Wemmel:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of KV Ertvelde:s goal. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for KV Ertvelde. Andries Cantillon stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Richy Van der Roost. 0-2. After the first half KV Ertvelde were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cesar Krabbe made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, KFC Wemmel's Richy Van der Roost got control of the ball when Dan Klaes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 59 played minutes, KV Ertvelde's Andries Cantillon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Richy Van der Roost came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KV Ertvelde reached it. With a little luck, KFC Wemmel's Richy Van der Roost got control of the ball when Dan Klaes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cesar Krabbe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Richy Van der Roost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Andries Cantillon fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KV Ertvelde's protests and gave Andries Cantillon a yellow card for diving instead. Cesar Krabbe struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Richy Van der Roost didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KV Ertvelde. With his leg Richy Van der Roost managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when KV Ertvelde's Cesar Krabbe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dan Klaes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 80th minute. KV Ertvelde's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cesar Krabbe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Richy Van der Roost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Dan Klaes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cesar Krabbe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Cesar Krabbe managed to get in a good position for a shot. KV Ertvelde's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesar Krabbe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richy Van der Roost breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richy Van der Roost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Krabbe in the 99th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded KV Ertvelde left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than KFC Wemmel.
