In the 10th minute Jannes Wigghers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didier Knoops saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. KVSK Erquelinnes's Didier Knoops played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jannes Wigghers in the 15th minute of play. If Jannes Wigghers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Algoedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakob Bouman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Artur Algoedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakob Bouman, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Jakob Bouman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Artur Algoedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 played minutes SC Tielrode got a freekick which was hit by Bass De kaiser. 46 minutes into the match, SC Tielrode's Octave De Weyngaert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Didier Knoops narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jannes Wigghers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Didier Knoops tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jakob Bouman to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes SC Tielrode got a freekick which was hit by Roland Ivens. Jakob Bouman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Algoedt having to interfere. Artur Algoedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remie Strupar in the 58th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Kris Eggermont hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69thth minute of the game Jannes Wigghers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KVSK Erquelinnes's Didier Knoops was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Didier Knoops made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Octave De Weyngaert sent off a good shot on target. Jannes Wigghers hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Jannes Wigghers charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jannes Wigghers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of KVSK Erquelinnes booed when SC Tielrode was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jannes Wigghers didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, KVSK Erquelinnes's Didier Knoops got control of the ball when Octave De Weyngaert tried to sneak it across the goal line. 1-0 came in the 86th minute when Kris Eggermont all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Artur Algoedt. Didier Knoops showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jannes Wigghers in the 90th minute of the match. When KVSK Erquelinnes's Julius Provoost in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Tielrode's goalie prevented a goal. Octave De Weyngaert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didier Knoops having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Tielrode players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for KVSK Erquelinnes.
