Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cedric Vuerinckx got the match started through his kick off. Cedric Vuerinckx who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Kurt Vereyt when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cedric Vuerinckxs short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Kurt Vereyt to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Noel Iven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Soumoy's zone, Jonathan Reynaerts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kurt Vereyt came out of the goal and Jonathan Reynaerts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute, Ward Schaerlaekens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Soumoy's zone, Cedric Vuerinckx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kurt Vereyt came out of the goal and Cedric Vuerinckx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the match, KFC Soumoy's goalkeeper Kurt Vereyt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cedric Vuerinckx. Kurt Vereyt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Reynaerts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Excelsior Mullem's Roel Van Leemputte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Callaerts in the 26th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cedric Vuerinckx got free with Kurt Vereyt in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Callaerts in the 29th minute of play forced Excelsior Mullem's goalkeeper Roel Van Leemputte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Felix Callaerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roel Van Leemputte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Callaerts during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, KFC Soumoy's Felix Callaerts got a free kick in the 35th minute. Kurt Vereyt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Reynaerts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kurt Vereyt made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Cedric Vuerinckx sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Reynaerts received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kurt Vereyt came out and tried to block the shot, but Jonathan Reynaerts slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 38th minute. Jonathan Reynaerts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 47 minutes, Felix Callaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Soumoy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Callaerts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dennis Uijterhoeven to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, KFC Soumoy's Ward Schaerlaekens got a free kick in the 51st minute. When Frederic Robijns came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Excelsior Mullem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frederic Robijns couldn't finish the play. Matias Heijligen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roel Van Leemputte. Excelsior Mullem's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Felix Callaerts notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Excelsior Mullem's Roel Van Leemputte. Roel Van Leemputte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 62nd minute, Dennis Uijterhoeven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frederic Robijns's late challenge caught a KFC Soumoy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frederic Robijns helped the player get up and apologised. Roel Van Leemputte came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by KFC Soumoy's Felix Callaerts. But to his dismay, Felix Callaerts quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. When Cedric Vuerinckx came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Excelsior Mullem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cedric Vuerinckx couldn't finish the play. Kurt Vereyt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Reynaerts in the 72nd minute of play. Cedric Vuerinckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kurt Vereyt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonathan Reynaerts went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Iven in the 81st minute of play forced KFC Soumoy's goalkeeper Kurt Vereyt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nils De Neuter during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nils De Neuter hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Felix Callaerts came free with the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Roel Van Leemputte could save by the left post. When Excelsior Mullem's Cedric Vuerinckx in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KFC Soumoy's goalie prevented a goal. Kurt Vereyt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Reynaerts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kurt Vereyt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Reynaerts in the 89th minute of the match. Excelsior Mullem's Roel Van Leemputte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Uijterhoeven in the 94th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Excelsior Mullem fully deserved thier win.
