KFC Soumoy's Dennis Uijterhoeven got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 6 minutes into the match, KFC Soumoy's goal looked a bit too open when Tim-Jan Jonckheere came free, but Kurt Vereyt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gunter Vaes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kurt Vereyt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. After 10 minutes, Luckas Leerbels mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Berzee and the KFC Soumoy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th minute, Luckas Leerbels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st match minute, KFC Soumoy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeffery Tael to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Felix Callaerts made a precise shot to the right of Oscar Stoorms. Berzee's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Gunter Vaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Vereyt having to interfere. Kurt Vereyt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gunter Vaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tim-Jan Jonckheere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Kurt Vereyt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dennis Uijterhoeven stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mickael Thielens kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Bill Loozen kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Bill Loozen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kurt Vereyt made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Tim-Jan Jonckheere sent off a good shot on target. Ward Schaerlaekens's late challenge caught a Berzee's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ward Schaerlaekens helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th match minute, KFC Soumoy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ward Schaerlaekens to maneuver through the defense. Laurend Terwenhout was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 74th minute, Tim-Jan Jonckheere got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Berzee's Gunter Vaes got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
