During this time schoten's players had a chance to rest. schoten's Robbe Smidts was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hendrik De Cerpel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Richy Van Bettenrode sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to schoten getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Richy Van Bettenrode hit a great ball. With a little luck, schoten's Jorne Sulem got control of the ball when Reinaert Van den Panhuizen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jorne Sulem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robbe Smidts in the 26th minute of play forced FC Nijvel's goalkeeper Hendrik De Cerpel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the game, schoten's Richy Van Bettenrode nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hendrik De Cerpel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When Richy Van Bettenrode was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 34 minutes had been played. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joop Eggers to strike the kick off in the second half. If Reinaert Van den Panhuizen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hendrik De Cerpel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robbe Smidts in the 58th minute. After 63 minutes, Lauren De Poorter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Nijvel and the schoten players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of schoten booed when FC Nijvel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauren De Poorter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrik Smets's late challenge caught a schoten's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrik Smets helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Nijvel! The FC Nijvel supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching schoten's performance. The match ended with a win for schoten.
