KFC Graux's Herald Baeten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurend Dheedene in the 8th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, KFC Graux's goal looked a bit too open when Arend Bracke came free, but Herald Baeten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herald Baeten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arend Bracke in the 15th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bavo Beckers during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Pierre Waegemans successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurend Dheedene in the 43rd minute of play forced KFC Graux's goalkeeper Herald Baeten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arend Bracke might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herald Baeten. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arend Bracke ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Wout De Swert was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 59 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of KFC Graux:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Duinbergen:s goal. When the match had been going on for 61 minutes, Duinbergen's Giles Van Beneden got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Herald Baeten. Arend Bracke took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herald Baeten. Herald Baeten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Duinbergen's Pierre Waegemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emile Kerstens in the 71st minute of play. Birger De Ceijser took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pierre Waegemans. Pierre Waegemans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 75th match minute, KFC Graux was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorie Calstermans to maneuver through the defense. Giles Van Beneden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Duinbergen booed when KFC Graux was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emile Kerstens didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute Laurend Dheedene shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herald Baeten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ian Roeckeloos charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ian Roeckeloos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 83 minutes, Arend Bracke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Duinbergen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arend Bracke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, KFC Graux's Bavo Beckers got a free kick in the 84th minute. Herald Baeten made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Arend Bracke sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, KFC Graux's Herald Baeten got control of the ball when Arend Bracke tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ian Roeckeloos was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Duinbergen's Ian Roeckeloos got a free kick in the 95th minute.
