Yelle De kaiser might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Izak De Vlaeminck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yelle De kaiser ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 11th minute Yelle De kaiser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Izak De Vlaeminck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Youri Lefevere's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laurent Weygaers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Yelle De kaiser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yelle De kaiser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Izak De Vlaeminck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armand Mestdaghs short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Izak De Vlaeminck to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sam-Lucas Wijnrijx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 25th minute Youri Lefevere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurent Weygaers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Izak De Vlaeminck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yelle De kaiser, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 29 played minutes Nederhasselt got a freekick which was hit by Freek Simons. Armand Mestdagh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Izak De Vlaeminck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Izak De Vlaeminck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yelle De kaiser's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Nederhasselt's Izak De Vlaeminck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yelle De kaiser in the 43rd minute of play. If Armand Mestdagh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Izak De Vlaeminck made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Armand Mestdagh sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yelle De kaiser to strike the kick off in the second half. Yelle De kaiser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Izak De Vlaeminck having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Nederhasselt's goal looked a bit too open when Yelle De kaiser came free, but Izak De Vlaeminck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henk Geeraerts kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yelle De kaiser in the 60th minute of play forced Nederhasselt's goalkeeper Izak De Vlaeminck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Nederhasselt's goal looked a bit too open when Armand Mestdagh came free, but Izak De Vlaeminck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laurent Weygaers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Youri Lefevere in the 64th minute of the match. If Armand Mestdagh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Izak De Vlaeminck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armand Mestdagh went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 78th minute, Armand Mestdagh made a precise shot to the right of Izak De Vlaeminck. Nederhasselt's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Nederhasselt's Izak De Vlaeminck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armand Mestdagh in the 83rd minute of play. Henk Geeraerts's late challenge caught a Nederhasselt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henk Geeraerts helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th match minute, SK Bijvoorde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henk Geeraerts to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Nederhasselt booed when SK Bijvoorde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertrand Vandeput didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute Armand Mestdagh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Izak De Vlaeminck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Freek Simons was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nederhasselt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SK Bijvoorde the free kick. The supporters of SK Bijvoorde booed when Nederhasselt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freek Simons didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Armand Mestdagh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SK Bijvoorde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armand Mestdagh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SK Bijvoorde walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
