In the 67th minute, Elias Verbeke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SK Lotenhulle fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 77 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when FC Bevere's Harrie Rutten fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. SK Lotenhulle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Bevere the free kick. After 96 played minutes SK Lotenhulle got a freekick which was hit by Mathis Van Lancker. Jerom Verstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 99th minute of the match, but Thys Rijmenams made a huge save.
