Neerlinter's Jorre Kuppens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Neerlinter from getting a goal against them. When Neerlinter's Jeffery Van Damme in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Guilian Rits sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeffery Van Damme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Luke Driesen made a precise shot to the right of Izak Neesens. KAA Trois-Ponts's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guilian Rits got free with Jorre Kuppens in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guilian Rits struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Jorre Kuppens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KAA Trois-Ponts. When Ive Roscams fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Neerlinter's protests and gave Ive Roscams a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute, Ive Roscams hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, KAA Trois-Ponts's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Driesen came free, but Izak Neesens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeffery Van Damme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The KAA Trois-Ponts players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Neerlinter were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jozef Alaerts to strike the kick off in the second half. Frederic Ottevaere kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luke Driesen got free with Izak Neesens in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jozef Alaerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorre Kuppens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jozef Alaerts in the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Neerlinter's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Octave Ablij was slow to take the kick. During this time KAA Trois-Ponts's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Robbe Wijnants drilling the ball in to score 1-1 behind Neerlinter's goalkeeper. Luke Driesen in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Izak Neesens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. KAA Trois-Ponts's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Ive Roscams scored to the left of an out of position Izak Neesens, making the score, 1-2. After 83 minutes, Robbe Wijnants mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KAA Trois-Ponts and the Neerlinter players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Robbe Wijnants hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Izak Neesens acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 84th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pierre Herinckx. The supporters of Neerlinter booed when KAA Trois-Ponts was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octave Ablij didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pierre Herinckx struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Izak Neesens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neerlinter. In the 90th minute, Edmond Van den Berge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute Guilian Rits shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorre Kuppens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
