Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Andres Oper started the match with the kick off. Stanny Van Wontergem didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andres Oper went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 11 minutes into the game, Andres Oper cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Stanny Van Wontergem was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 16 played minutes YR Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Adolphe De Maerschalckx. Andres Oper scored 0-3 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stanny Van Wontergem, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Andres Oper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 28 minutes into the match, Andres Oper had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stanny Van Wontergem. YR Mechelen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andres Oper was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. When Joery Van Mechelen fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored YR Mechelen's protests and gave Joery Van Mechelen a yellow card for diving instead. 38 minutes into the game, Andres Oper cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Stanny Van Wontergem was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 40 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio Ordono came free, but Stanny Van Wontergem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stanny Van Wontergem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Oper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Sleepy Soldiers FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The crowd rose to their feet as Sleepy Soldiers FC's Andres Oper slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stanny Van Wontergem. That made the score 0-6 after 52 minutes of play. In the 55th minute Octavio Ordono shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanny Van Wontergem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 57 minutes, Andres Oper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sleepy Soldiers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andres Oper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to YR Mechelen getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Andries Mangelschot hit a great ball. After 61 minutes, Andres Oper made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. YR Mechelen's Stanny Van Wontergem tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Joonatan De Vlaeminck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricky Tilemans in the 69th minute of the match. YR Mechelen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adolphe De Maerschalckx in the 75th minute. When Octavio Ordono came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Sleepy Soldiers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavio Ordono couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andres Oper got free with Stanny Van Wontergem in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the match, Andres Oper notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of YR Mechelen's Stanny Van Wontergem. Stanny Van Wontergem was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Andres Oper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sleepy Soldiers FC booed when YR Mechelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joery Van Mechelen didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Sleepy Soldiers FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than YR Mechelen throughout the match.
