Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kurt Verheije got the match started through his kick off. Nickolas Van Linthaut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Gery Du Bois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Gijselinx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristof Van Bael having to interfere. When Perry Turpin fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Purple Talent's protests and gave Perry Turpin a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes Purple Talent got a freekick which was hit by Perry Turpin. 16 minutes into the match, Purple Talent's goalkeeper Kristof Van Bael had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vicente Gijselinx. After 26 minutes of play, Purple Talent's Nickolas Van Linthaut made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gery Du Bois was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dave Van Der Eyde kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute of the match Remi Keldermans shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gery Du Bois showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A hard shot 36 in the game by Vicente Gijselinx from a close distance when the talented Kristof Van Bael managed to make a qualified save. Purple Talent's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Gijselinx got free with Kristof Van Bael in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gery Du Bois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Verheije in the 40th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the game, Brent Selleslags recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kristof Van Bael. Brent Selleslags showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Kristof Van Bael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Gijselinx, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Brent Selleslags sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nickolas Van Linthaut could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Gery Du Bois made a huge save. Kristof Van Bael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Gijselinx in the 72nd minute of play. Nickolas Van Linthaut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gery Du Bois having to interfere. Gery Du Bois didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nickolas Van Linthaut went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 83rd minute Brent Selleslags shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristof Van Bael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Purple Talent's Kristof Van Bael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Gijselinx in the 86th minute of play. Brent Selleslags sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Brent Selleslags came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Sporting Lokeren fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brent Selleslags couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Gijselinx in the 92nd minute of play forced Purple Talent's goalkeeper Kristof Van Bael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 92 played minutes Purple Talent got a freekick which was hit by Mats Spoelbergh. Purple Talent's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
