Wes Lieckens in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Crispijn Deprez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 12 minutes, Felix Olbrechts mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Brugge KV and the La masia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Brugge KV! Youri Horemans placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The shot missed the goal on the right side and Wes Lieckens ran dejectedly back to his position. In the 29th minute Yens Van Heerle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Cesario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wes Lieckens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Crispijn Deprez made a huge save. Wes Lieckens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Crispijn Deprez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Kent Stuckens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La masia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kent Stuckens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maximino Cesario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yens Van Heerle in the 47th minute of play. Yens Van Heerle scored 2-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maximino Cesario, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The La masia fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when La masia's Wes Lieckens looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Crispijn Deprez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georg Gustavsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Georg Gustavsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Crispijn Deprez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georg Gustavsson in the 67th minute of play. La masia's Wes Lieckens got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Brugge KV's Crispijn Deprez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wes Lieckens in the 72nd minute of play. La masia's Georg Gustavsson got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Club Brugge KV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Crispijn Deprez should have stopped the shot. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Brugge KV's goalkeeper Crispijn Deprez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Crispijn Deprez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wes Lieckens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
