Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's Isidro Calisto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diedrik Winnepenninck in the 5th minute of play. Thompson Olsson hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Jordy Hendrickx scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isidro Calisto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 16 minutes into the match, Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Tibo Van Looy came free, but Isidro Calisto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Dimitri Van Hooveldt made a precise shot to the right of Crispijn Deprez. Club Brugge KV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominic Pardaens in the 23rd minute of play forced Patro Eisden Maasmechelen's goalkeeper Isidro Calisto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidro Calisto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jordy Hendrickx in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Club Brugge KV booed when Patro Eisden Maasmechelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommas Van Bombergen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isidro Calisto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diedrik Winnepenninck in the 29th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Club Brugge KV's zone, Evert-Jan Meeus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Crispijn Deprez came out of the goal and Evert-Jan Meeus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38thth minute of the game Dimitri Van Hooveldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Brugge KV's Crispijn Deprez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 68 played minutes, Club Brugge KV's Felix Olbrechts shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Isidro Calisto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Brugge KV reached it. Jacque Devaux recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacque Devaux struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Crispijn Deprez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Patro Eisden Maasmechelen. The supporters of Club Brugge KV booed when Patro Eisden Maasmechelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chants of Club Brugge KV echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Patro Eisden Maasmechelen had held the ball for most of the match.
