Pierre-Alexandre Vincx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pierre-Alexandre Vincx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roderik Dewitte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre-Alexandre Vincx, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Ronaldinho Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomm Berckmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute Szymon Fronczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roderik Dewitte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 played minutes, KFC Hamont-Achel's Hugon Jaszcz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roderik Dewitte came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KFC Hamont-Achel reached it. After a defensive mix-up in KSV Ursene's zone, Szymon Fronczak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roderik Dewitte came out of the goal and Szymon Fronczak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Stefan Van Caubergen fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KSV Ursene's protests and gave Stefan Van Caubergen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, one of KSV Ursene:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KSV Ursene. In the 24th minute there was a penalty for KFC Hamont-Achel. Hugon Jaszcz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Roderik Dewitte. 0-1. Roderik Dewitte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre-Alexandre Vincx in the 27th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Tomm Berckmans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yvan Vereyt's late challenge caught a KFC Hamont-Achel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yvan Vereyt helped the player get up and apologised. Yvan Vereyt hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. If Pierre-Alexandre Vincx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christiaan Gielens made a kick off. Roderik Dewitte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Szymon Fronczak in the 51st minute of play. KSV Ursene's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Pierre-Alexandre Vincx scored to the left of an out of position Roderik Dewitte, making the score, 0-2. 55 minutes into the game, Lieven Van den Enden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KFC Hamont-Achel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KSV Ursene the free kick. KFC Hamont-Achel's Ronaldinho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomm Berckmans in the 57th minute of play. Roderik Dewitte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, KSV Ursene's Roderik Dewitte got control of the ball when Pierre-Alexandre Vincx tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, KSV Ursene's Christiaan Gielens got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 90th match minute, KSV Ursene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christiaan Gielens to maneuver through the defense. Roderik Dewitte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Szymon Fronczak, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 94 minutes into the match, KSV Ursene's Christiaan Gielens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronaldinho Taffarel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. KFC Hamont-Achel's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
