FC Bredene's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otto Fenomeno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teo De Jonge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otto Fenomeno, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Costel Runcu during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Teo De Jonge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Fenomeno in the 37th minute of play. If Otto Fenomeno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Dobromir Brodzki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teo De Jonge having to make a save. Peter Bautmans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinand Weijnants in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, KFC Vliegplein's Endel Darmer got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Teo De Jonge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Fenomeno in the 75th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Otto Fenomeno notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of KFC Vliegplein's Teo De Jonge. Teo De Jonge was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 82nd match minute, KFC Vliegplein was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Endel Darmer to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Otto Fenomeno took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Teo De Jonge to make any attempt to save it. FC Bredene's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
