Paolo Evis might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jerome Ngake. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paolo Evis ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to FC Ouagadougou National getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Karim Sia hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Paco Fernandez-Solino managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Draconia's supporters rose to their feet, but Paco Fernandez-Solino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rene Vereijt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerome Ngake showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Westelinx, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 15 minutes of play, FC Ouagadougou National's William Westelinx made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jerome Ngake was left in no man's land by his defense there! William Westelinx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 24th minute, William Westelinx made a precise shot to the right of Jerome Ngake. FC Draconia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. William Westelinx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jerome Ngake read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Westelinx in the 36th minute of play forced FC Draconia's goalkeeper Jerome Ngake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ouagadougou National's zone, Harald Sulems stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Vereijt came out of the goal and Harald Sulems tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute William Westelinx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerome Ngake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Rene Vereijt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benny Hill in the 51st minute of the match. Rene Vereijt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benny Van der Poorten, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute Joaquin Lekubegi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Vereijt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rene Vereijt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Lekubegi in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Joaquin Lekubegi made a precise shot to the right of Rene Vereijt. FC Ouagadougou National's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. When William Westelinx came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the FC Ouagadougou National fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Westelinx couldn't finish the play. FC Ouagadougou National's Jedrzej Kiszkiel was substituted for William Westelinx. FC Draconia's Jerome Ngake played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jedrzej Kiszkiel in the 77th minute of play. If Adrià Vassaras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rene Vereijt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Quinteros in the 94th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Ouagadougou National booed when FC Draconia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Bernaerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. The FC Draconia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Ouagadougou National's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Ouagadougou National.
