Ljubimir Pavlović didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hnk Neum. The audience was convinced that Himzija Aldžić's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hilmo Ratkić was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Himzija Aldžić couldn't finish the play. 29 minutes into the match, Hnk Neum's goal looked a bit too open when Ostoja Kaidović came free, but Hilmo Ratkić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ajvaz Sanidović in the 30th minute of play forced Samari's goalkeeper Ljubimir Pavlović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Himzija Aldžić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Samari's zone, Držislav Vrnjković stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ljubimir Pavlović came out of the goal and Držislav Vrnjković tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ajvaz Sanidović made a kick off. Hilmo Ratkić made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ostoja Kaidović in the 54th minute. After some careless play in the Samari defense, Ajvaz Sanidović kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ljubimir Pavlović. The Samari fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ljubimir Pavlović should have stopped the shot. Mersad Ibrahimović hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After 62 played minutes Hnk Neum got a freekick which was hit by Vinko Ezibović. Ostoja Kaidović's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hilmo Ratkić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. When Rušid Iskrić fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hnk Neum's protests and gave Rušid Iskrić a yellow card for diving instead. After 72 played minutes Hnk Neum got a freekick which was hit by Rušid Iskrić. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Himzija Aldžić in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hilmo Ratkić saved Hnk Neum from getting behind. Ajvaz Sanidović scored 2-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ljubimir Pavlović, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hilmo Ratkić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Himzija Aldžić in the 85th minute of play. Ostoja Kaidović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilmo Ratkić having to interfere. Himzija Aldžić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hilmo Ratkić having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hnk Neum had won after a very even match.
