The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The goalkeeper, Aljko Bosančić, was totally fooled by FC Apple's Alan Mededović, who 12 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Brnace HRK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! The referee gave FC Apple a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alan Mededović, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Brnace HRK's Aljko Bosančić. 2-0. Veselin Sejdić could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Aljko Bosančić made a huge save. Aljko Bosančić made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miralem Ratkić in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute Jan Govzdenović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marinko Gudelj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Govzdenović scored 2-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marinko Gudelj, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Apple's Šihab Kostić slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aljko Bosančić. That made the score 3-1 after 31 minutes of play. If Jan Govzdenović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Vase Ferizović left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brnace HRK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Šihab Kostić was the one to do the kick off. Brnace HRK's Aljko Bosančić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sadik Matić in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, FC Apple's Sadik Matić sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aljko Bosančić narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ruško Kajić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Marinko Gudelj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marinko Gudelj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vase Ferizović in the 63rd minute of play. When Jan Govzdenović came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Brnace HRK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Govzdenović couldn't finish the play. Vase Ferizović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marinko Gudelj having to interfere. A hard shot 72 in the game by Jan Govzdenović from a close distance when the talented Marinko Gudelj managed to make a qualified save. FC Apple's players were relieved. If Šihab Kostić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FC Apple's zone, Vase Ferizović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marinko Gudelj came out of the goal and Vase Ferizović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
