Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) AC MILAN's Elmar Dersewski started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Holger Frach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of F. C DERSİM booed when AC MILAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Sohlmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danny Pietta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Sohlmann in the 16th minute of play. Danny Pietta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Sohlmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Nico Hackler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F. C DERSİM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC MILAN the free kick. In the 19th minute, Nico Hackler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elmar Dersewski might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danny Pietta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elmar Dersewski ran back to his position shaking his head. Jan Sohlmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Pietta having to interfere. Elmar Dersewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Danny Pietta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sören Gottmann kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. With a little luck, AC MILAN's Jost Mörz got control of the ball when Holger Frach tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alex Giese to strike the kick off in the second half. If Elmar Dersewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elmar Dersewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Danny Pietta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. F. C DERSİM's Danny Pietta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save F. C DERSİM from getting a goal against them. Jan Sohlmann took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Danny Pietta. Danny Pietta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in F. C DERSİM's zone, Jan Sohlmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danny Pietta came out of the goal and Jan Sohlmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute, Elmar Dersewski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Danny Pietta. The goal made the score 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Sohlmann got free with Danny Pietta in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, F. C DERSİM's Alex Giese got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Elmar Dersewski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC MILAN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elmar Dersewski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jan Sohlmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. F. C DERSİM's Nico Hackler got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Nico Hackler off the ground. The supporters of AC MILAN booed when F. C DERSİM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico Hackler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elmar Dersewski struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Danny Pietta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC MILAN. In the 92nd minute Elmar Dersewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Pietta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AC MILAN's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
