Nicolai Renz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Tim-Florian Bombis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Geistthal getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Olaf Wimmer hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Geistthal's zone, Torsten Reichel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis-Sven Bluhm came out of the goal and Torsten Reichel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christopher Biermann's late challenge caught a Rauhriegel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christopher Biermann helped the player get up and apologised. Christopher Biermann hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Dennis-Sven Bluhm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Gutsche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulf Gutsche struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Dennis-Sven Bluhm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rauhriegel. When Torsten Reichel came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Rauhriegel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torsten Reichel couldn't finish the play. When Nils Mrozik fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rauhriegel's protests and gave Nils Mrozik a yellow card for diving instead. Nils Mrozik hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Rauhriegel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christopher Biermann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Torsten Reichel was the one to do the kick off. Ulf Gutsche struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Dennis-Sven Bluhm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rauhriegel. 56 minutes into the game, one of Geistthal:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Dennis-Sven Bluhm, was totally fooled by Rauhriegel's Julien-Nils Kuntz, who 57 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a rather tough play, Geistthal's Olaf Wimmer got a free kick in the 64th minute. Tim-Florian Bombis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolai Renz in the 67th minute of play. Jens-Uwe Butkus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Rouven Eberts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geistthal's supporters rose to their feet, but Rouven Eberts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tim-Florian Bombis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
