The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nils Mrozik hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Wilhelm Weichsel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Tim-Florian Bombis made a huge save. After having played for 13 minutes, Thorsten Richter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GALATASARAY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thorsten Richter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jonathan Gerber fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GALATASARAY's protests and gave Jonathan Gerber a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, GALATASARAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Gerber to maneuver through the defense. Roman Gartler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Gutsche in the 27th minute of the match. Thorsten Richter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thorsten Richter in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tim-Florian Bombis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Ulf Gutsche came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Rauhriegel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulf Gutsche couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Torsten Reichel took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roman Gartler. Roman Gartler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Wilhelm Weichsel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim-Florian Bombis having to interfere. Pascal Stengert hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The GALATASARAY players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rauhriegel were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Thorsten Richter made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thorsten Richter in the 52nd minute of play forced Rauhriegel's goalkeeper Tim-Florian Bombis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim-Florian Bombis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilhelm Weichsel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 minutes, Nils Mrozik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rauhriegel and the GALATASARAY players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes Rauhriegel got a freekick which was hit by Nils Mrozik. Ulf Gutsche was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. Rauhriegel's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Thorsten Richter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim-Florian Bombis having to interfere. Tim-Florian Bombis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thorsten Richter in the 70th minute of play. Nils Mrozik was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 71st match minute, Rauhriegel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils Mrozik to maneuver through the defense. Thorsten Richter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tim-Florian Bombis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. When Erich Volmar fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GALATASARAY's protests and gave Erich Volmar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st match minute, GALATASARAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erich Volmar to maneuver through the defense. If Wilhelm Weichsel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle went the supporters of Rauhriegel were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant GALATASARAY side.
