In the 4th minute, Unterferlach FSV's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rouven Krüger fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 33rd minute Jan Kalt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom von Dreusche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute of the match Niclas Pierron shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tom von Dreusche showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Unterferlach FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Kalt came free, but Tom von Dreusche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Kulma's Rouven Krüger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tom von Dreusche narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 40 minutes, Andreas Kalweit mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Unterferlach FSV and the Kulma players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Unterferlach FSV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kulma:s goal. Jan Kalt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 51st minute Kulma were awarded a corner. Jan-Peter Kuhr went to the cornerflag to take it. After 51 played minutes Unterferlach FSV got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Königs. When Jan-Peter Kuhr came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Kulma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Peter Kuhr couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jochen Daun to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Kulma booed when Unterferlach FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Bucher didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan Kalt struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Tom von Dreusche didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kulma. Jan Kalt might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tom von Dreusche. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan Kalt ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Rouven Krüger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tom von Dreusche was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 74th match minute, Kulma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim-Oliver Abts to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute Jan Kalt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom von Dreusche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Kalt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom von Dreusche having to interfere. After 93 minutes, Jan Burdach mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Unterferlach FSV and the Kulma players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some careless play in the Unterferlach FSV defense, Jan Kalt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tom von Dreusche. The Unterferlach FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tom von Dreusche should have stopped the shot. Tom von Dreusche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rouven Krüger in the 98th minute of play. 100 minutes into the match, Kulma's Rouven Krüger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tom von Dreusche narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
