The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, FC KEMI's goal looked a bit too open when Klaas Schmidt came free, but Josef Maier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sportklub's supporters crossed their fingers, but Konrad Muhr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benjamin Schoppe in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Philipp Furst, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 0-1 became the score in the 37th minute when Konrad Muhr elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Klaas Schmidt made a kick off. Philipp Furst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tino Woltera, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 55 played minutes Sportklub got a freekick which was hit by Lothar Gerhold. In the 58th minute, Sven Diling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Konrad Muhr came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Sportklub fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Konrad Muhr couldn't finish the play. In the 70th match minute, Sportklub was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Rappel to maneuver through the defense. Benjamin Schoppe might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Philipp Furst. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Schoppe ran back to his position shaking his head. After 89 minutes, Jan Kühnen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC KEMI and the Sportklub players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Jan Kühnen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philipp Furst didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tino Woltera went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Benjamin Schoppe managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC KEMI's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Schoppe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philipp Furst breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
