In the 9th minute, Hans Kompa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Klaudius Boymanns's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Rüdiger Treiber - 0-1 was put on the score board in the 10th minute. Peter Maul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rüdiger Treiber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Ibertsberger, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Shelby1:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nopping:s goal. In the 39th minute Robin Ibertsberger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rüdiger Treiber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Klaus Parkoz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Klaus Parkoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rüdiger Treiber having to interfere. Boris Schnackenberg hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Peter Maul got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Peter Maul to make the kick off. Rüdiger Treiber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Klaus Parkoz in the 51st minute. Rüdiger Treiber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Schachner in the 55th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robin Ibertsberger in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rüdiger Treiber prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, Shelby1's Rüdiger Treiber threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Robin Ibertsberger, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Peter Maul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robin Ibertsberger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Rüdiger Treiber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Robin Ibertsberger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rüdiger Treiber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Ibertsberger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
